Spanish Program

IAA is an international school that teaches English as its primary language.

 

However, it also offers a Spanish program for native Spanish speakers and those who do not speak Spanish as their first language.

Our Spanish program at IAA is a testament to our commitment to academic excellence. Aligned with The Common Core Standards in Spanish, our comprehensive curriculum ensures that students achieve a wide range of goals and skills in Spanish. For students starting their Spanish journey, we follow the ACTFL Standards, a proven method that has led to many success stories.

 

At IAA, we believe in making learning Spanish a dynamic and engaging experience. Through various modern and innovative tools, strategies, and projects, students work on their reading, writing, speaking, spelling, and grammar skills according to their level of knowledge from grades K-12. This approach not only ensures academic progress but also fosters a love for the language and culture.

 

In addition, we offer AP Spanish Language, AP Spanish Literature, and Spanish I/ II/ III for students 9-12 grades.

 

Students at IAA have the exciting opportunity to share their learning and progress through various engaging events throughout the year, such as the Exhibition of Learning and Café Concert.
